The Life Enrichment Activity Program (LEAP) is a sabbatical program for individuals who want to take several months to explore a new place and culture while making an impact on the physical, social, cognitive and emotional well-being of people with special needs. Participants could include young retirees, mid-career professionals or college students taking time off during the spring semester. Lodging and a small food stipend are included in the program.
LEAP participants (6-8 people) live in a house/condo/lodge and serve as special instructors teaching skiing at the NSCD in Winter Park. They will teach weekly lessons as well as interact with all NSCD winter camps and special programs. Each LEAP participant must be at least a strong intermediate skier. Instructor training will be provided by the NSCD.
