The inclusion program is a collaborative effort between the
NSCD and the Winter Park Resort Children's Center. Children
with disabilities experience group lessons with able-bodied
children their own age.
The program, designed for five to 13-year-olds, allows children
to participate in an activity and socialize with their peers.
First, an NSCD instructor conducts an initial assessment of
the child. Then the instructor and the child's parents or
guardians determine if the child needs a one-on-one lesson
through the NSCD, or if the child can be immediately included
in the Children's Center lesson.
If a child first requires lessons with the NSCD, our instructors
will determine when the child is ready to participate with
the Children's Center. An NSCD instructor will be assigned
to assist during the Children's Center class. Lessons
are offered seven days per week from Nov. 20, 2004 through
April 17, 2005.
Rates:
Full-day: $96 (includes instruction, lift ticket, lunch and equipment)
Half-day: $45 (includes instruction, lift ticket and equipment)
