Groups that want to come to the NSCD for one-day or stay for
an extended period of time can participate in the Extended-Stay
program offering a diverse selection of activities, including
alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing
and therapeutic horseback riding. All levels of skiers and
riders are welcome. Lessons are taught in small group settings
or, if necessary, on a one-to-one (participant to instructor)
ratio.
Program size: Maximum of 20
students per group. Maximum of 10 sit-skiers per group.
Length of stay: We recommend
one rest day prior to starting lessons because of travel fatigue
and adjustment to the altitude at Winter Park Resort.
Equipment evaluations: We also
recommend that groups visit the NSCD equipment lab for evaluations
and set-up the day before lessons are scheduled to begin.
Finally, we suggest groups take a one-day break after four
days of skiing or snowboarding. Try a day of Nordic or horseback
riding with us on your break!
Rate: $58 per student per day
Agency staff lift ticket: $37
Extras: We can custom design
a winter activity package to include a variety of sports,
including race clinics, competition training, snowshoeing,
nordic skiing, evening activities and special events (ski
parties, barbecues, etc). Groups are responsible for additional
costs associated with these activities.
Reservations: Reservations for
Extended-Stay programs can be made by calling 970.726.1518.
