The NSCD Competition Center has training programs for racers just starting out to race, or the racer who is aspiring to reach the 2010 Paralympic Games in Canada.
The Developmental Level introduces beginner skiers of all ages to the sport of ski racing through camps and Level 1 races at Winter Park Resort and other resorts in the United States.
If you are a Junior Skier who loves to go fast, join our Jr. Alpine Ski Team and train with professional coaches.!
The Elite Level trains competitors for Level II races at Winter Park Resort and supports them at races across the nation. The Elite Level program also hosts training sessions for international teams, including those from Germany, Great Britain, Finland, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Sweden, Japan and South Africa.
The Competition Program is based on the same teaching principals used for any standard competitive ski racing organization. It involves on-snow, gate and dry land cross training that includes biking, aerobics and weight lifting. NSCD Alpine Coaches train athletes with visual impairments, amputations, paraplegia, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, post polio and congenital disabilities.
