NSCD Special Events are over 65% of total fundraising dollars raised for NSCD programs. Whether skiing down the mountain, running through Denver’s sports stadiums, cruising the back nine, or sipping wine and listening to music, NSCD events offer fun and exciting experiences while supporting our recreational programs for individuals with disabilities.
Colfax Marathon – May 19, 2013
NSCD is returning as Charity Partner of the Colfax Marathon in Denver, CO. Register for the run, then set up a personal or team page and show your support by raising funds for the NSCD. Participants running to support the NSCD will receive a special NSCD race bib to wear the day of the race, and have the opportunity to join training runs. There is a distance for everyone- Marathon, Half-Marathon, Urban 10 Miler, 5-person Relay and 5k!
Wazee Supper Club Fundraiser – May 29, 2013
Eat & Drink for a good cause. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, May 29th to meet friends and family for dinner and drinks. Wazee will donate 10% of food sales from 4 p.m. to closing to benefit NSCD programs. Enjoy their new spring menu offerings, cocktails and beers on tap or enjoy one of Wazee’s delicious piping hot pizza pies while listening to the live jazz band. Trax-n-Trails – June 22, 2013
Help support the NSCD by taking part in the inaugural Trax-n-Trails event, June 22, 2013, at Winter Park Resort! Cross country mountain bike enthusiasts have an opportunity to challenge themselves in the Elite Race, or opt for a more leisurely route in the Recreational Ride on the amazing trails at Winter Park Resort and Trestle Bike Park. Festivities include a bike decorating contest and parade at the base of the Resort for the kids, music and great food while fundraising to support therapeutic recreation and adaptive sports programs.

Wells Fargo Ski Cup – February 28 – March 3, 2014
Longest running professional ski race in the country. 39th year with Wells Fargo as the title sponsor. The World Disabled Invitational is the only race in which disabled skiers compete head-to-head on parallel courses, a format used in professional events. Other events during the weekend include the Sport Authority Challenge, Kids Snowplow Sprint, two day silent auction, skier hospitality and Ski for NSCD Pledge Drive.
