Founded in 1984 by three-time world disabled alpine ski
champion Paul DiBello, the NSCD Competition Program is
the largest of its kind in the United States. The program
is also home to the Winter Park Disabled Ski Team, which
has consistently dominated competitions throughout North
America. At the4 2006 Paralympics in Turin Italy, the NSCD’s
goal is to bring back 30 medals in alpine events. Competition
program staff also conducts youth development racing camps
at ski resorts throughout the United States to train potential
team members.
These introductions to ski racing are open to adaptive
skiers of any age. Hosted by the NSCD and Disabled Sports
USA.
Held in conjunction with the Huntsman Cup in Park City,
Utah, intermediate and advanced skiers practice skills
in slalom and giant slalom gate training

Held in conjunction with the Wells Fargo Bank Cup, this
is the only ski race in the world that allows racers with
different disabilities to compete directly against one
another
This mid-level development camp precedes the Columbia Crest
Cup at Winter Park
This race is the largest and one of the most difficult
disabled ski races in the country – it also serves
as the premier qualifier for the U.S. Nationals.
