2009 Black Diamond Ball
Hosted by Jennifer Zepplin, Channel 4 Meteorologist
October 22nd, 2009
Invesco Field at Mile High
The 15th annual Black Diamond Ball will celebrate individuals and companies who have been instrumental to the success of the NSCD over the past 40 years. This event not only begins the celebration of the NSCD’s 40th year of impacting lives of people with disabilities but will also kick-off the winter season as many NSCD elite athletes gear up for the 2010 Paralympic Games in Vancouver.
On this special evening, guests will enjoy an exciting silent and live auction during a culinary adventure featuring creative cuisine prepared by several of Denver’s favorite local chefs. Concluding the night will be a sit-down dessert course provided by presenting sponsor Epicurean Catering along with an inspirational program recognizing the achievements of four remarkable companies and individuals.
All proceeds from this event benefit the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD). The NSCD is among the largest adapted sports and outdoor therapeutic recreation programs in the world. Each year, through the NSCD, children and adults with disabilities take to the ski slopes, rivers, mountain trials and golf links to learn more about sports - and themselves.
